His artistic journey began at an early age, with drawing forming the foundation of his practice. This developed further during his formal studies, where he was introduced to painting and began refining his technique. He holds an N6 Certificate in Art and Design from the Central Johannesburg TVET College, and continues to evolve his practice with focus and intent.

 

Beyond his own work, Sotashe plays an active role in the development of young artists as a mentor within the Intle Art Community Youth Project, contributing to the growth of emerging talent and giving back to the community that informs his work.

 

His paintings are held at Fine Art Africa Gallery in Hout Bay, where his work forms part of a new generation of contemporary African artists shaping the visual language of today.
