EVI ELSNER | SEIN SPUR
 

Evi Elsner, known artistically as SeinSpur, immigrated from Germany to South Africa in 2002. 

Alongside her German husband, she spent over two decades designing, renovating, and building distinctive homes, many of which were featured in prestigious design and lifestyle publications.

With a background in architectural and interior design, Evi curated countless spaces — yet always longed for the kind of art she couldn’t quite find: deeply textural, minimal, and resonant.  At the end of 2024, upon retiring from their business, Evi finally found the freedom to pursue her artistic calling.

Her works are the tactile expressions of that journey — textured, monochromatic, and meditative.

Her chosen name, SeinSpur, is a poetic reflection of her philosophy: the trace of being — a visual and emotional imprint of presence, stillness, and introspection.

Her work marks the beginning of a long-awaited chapter, where Evi translates years of curated beauty into art born from her own hands.
