Returns & Refunds Policy
Fine Art Africa Gallery
At Fine Art Africa Gallery, artworks are selected and handled with the utmost care. Due to the unique and often irreplaceable nature of original artworks, our returns and refunds policy differs from that of standard retail goods.
This policy applies to all online and in-gallery purchases.
Final Sale Policy
All sales of original artworks and sculptures are final.
We do not accept returns or offer refunds for:

Change of mind
-
Personal preference
-
Colour, scale, or aesthetic considerations
-
Artworks not meeting expectations once installed
Clients are encouraged to carefully consider their selection prior to purchase. Additional images, videos, dimensions, condition reports, or in-gallery viewings are gladly arranged on request.
Incorrect or Misdescribed Artwork
If an artwork delivered is not what was ordered or materially differs from its description, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery.
Once the artwork has been inspected and the issue validated, we will, at the client’s choice:

Arrange delivery of the correct artwork (subject to availability), or
-
Issue a refund of the purchase price.
Collection of incorrectly supplied artworks will be arranged at no charge.
Damage, Loss or Theft During Transit
All artworks shipped by Fine Art Africa Gallery are fully insured while in transit.
In the unlikely event that an artwork is:

Damaged
-
Lost
-
Stolen
during delivery, the matter will be handled directly through our insurance provider.
Any damage or loss must be reported within 24 hours of delivery, accompanied by:

Clear photographic evidence
-
Original or adequate protective packaging
Once a valid insurance claim has been approved, we will arrange, where possible:

Repair
-
Replacement
-
Or a refund, subject to insurance settlement and availability.
Defective Artworks
We take great care to ensure that artworks are delivered in excellent condition.
A defect is defined as a flaw that renders the artwork materially less acceptable than one would reasonably expect at the time of delivery.
The following are not regarded as defects and do not qualify for return or refund:

Normal wear and tear

Intentional artistic characteristics or techniques

Natural variations in handmade or original works

Damage caused by improper handling, storage or display

Damage resulting from negligence or misuse

Unauthorised alterations or repairs
-
Accurate descriptions that do not meet personal aesthetic expectations
Repairs, Replacements & Artist Discretion
Where a repair or replacement is appropriate, this will be undertaken at the artist’s discretion, subject to feasibility and material availability.
Repair and replacement timelines may vary depending on the nature of the artwork and materials involved.
Timeframes & Packaging

All issues must be reported within 48 hours of delivery

Returns logged after 30 days will not be accepted

Artworks must be safely and suitably packaged for return

Our courier may refuse collection if packaging is inadequate
Freight Charges
If an artwork is returned and found not to comply with this policy, the client may be liable for all associated freight and handling costs.
